  • A visit to this historically important Castle cost you 5 euros per person. In this price is an audio guide included. Many however do not get to see of the Castle. In addition, the simple information which gives you a real ' perception of the Castle ' is difficult to speak. Maybe what it's more fun to the museum to build something more around the castle of Wijnendale.

  • Kasteel Wijnendale has a rich history. It's a gorgeous water castle at the border of the forest. This forest is good for hours of enjoyable walking. At the castle museum you travel trough it's >1.000 years of fascinating history! A variety of multi media presentations show you among other things these highlights: How Maria from Bourgondië falls with her horse. How King Leopold III of Belgium surrenders in this castle in 1940 to the Germans. How Torhout became priveledged as 'city' And numerous other interesting facts. For the kids there's the "Robbies Ghost Quest" to participate.
  • Suuuper castle. Best castle ever. Small but very interesting and very beautiful. In one word: spectacular

  • Beautiful castle in beautiful walled estate with beautiful walking and cycling trails in the surrounding area. In the visitor centre you will be welcomed and a visit is very nice with the children. We were surprised about the rich history of this castle, and the modern and attractive presentation. An asset!
