  • We went as a family to the caves. Not bcp explanation during the visit, except for a few stops. The major part of the visit is in Dutch! While we are still in Wallonia.

  • I went with family: wife and baby of 5 years. It's a wonderful, unmissable, really nice. We had half an hour of queuing at the entrance ... Unfortunately in the rain and there's no shelter. The car can be parked along the River, 200 m from the entrance of the caves. Make groups of about 15 people. You can also take the ticket to a specific time and return only when it's time or take the first available time and wait until you leave. Nice ns case another half an hour approximately. Very nice guide, he spoke English and Italian and was of enormous courtesy. You venture into a maze of subterranean war between concretions, stalagmites and stalactites. Very impressive. Then you get allimbarcadero (Yes!) where you take a nice stretch. Don't recommend it to those who suffer from claustrophobia because the time of the caves is sometimes low. The water is frozen so watch out you don't fall! Great pics na don't expect great results with a telefonino...io I was equipped with full frame SLR but nevertheless I had to pump up the ISO to the maximum because they aren't absolutely time to use a stand or tripod. The Guide continues and it can't be done. Only criticism, for me, the internal lighting system (vital in these caves) that seemed outdated and too sallow, old tungsten lights. Only a few concretions were illuminated with led systems. The caves could gain enormously from a much more updated lighting and studied. It remains one of the TOP destinations in Belgium then go for it and enjoy!

  • I visited the caves with my 7-year-old son. For children this is a fun activity, especially for the sake of special boat trip in the caves and the friendly chat of the Guide. Not cheap but all in all a learning experience.
