Musees du Fourneau Saint-Michel Reviews
En venant au musée, d'après les descriptions reçues, j'imaginais retrouver un village reconstitué, un peu comme à Bokrijk que j'ai visité il y a 30 ans... Des bâtiments de ferme, fournils, habitations... more »Coming to the Museum, according to the received descriptions, I imagined finding a restored village, a bit like in Bokrijk I visited 30 years ago... Farm, bakeries, housing buildings have been removed from their place of origin and rebuilt faithfully to preserve. Some are fitted out others not. The idea is good and full of promise. But here, some preserved buildings are in the process of if damage due to lack of maintenance. Some homes are used for storage of object to theme but without explanation. A farm is transformed into exhibition space evoking the extraction of slate... The reconstitution of the old cemetery is fallow, in a State of disrepair. An Apiary is present, warning of "danger" but only a few old hives of straw or wood without more bees... The explanations are not minimalist, guide or audio guide. A plan is given for the visit. It is well done, but why give the buildings shown on the plan, their place of origin rather than their function? To find out what it is, read a small plaque on the building. I wish found the type of construction on the plan and the provenance on the explanatory plaque to autan the constructions are grouped by region. Virtually no reconstituted Interior. We could use the visit to better understand the life of the former. A nice place, a great place to walk but a potential very badly operated.
Vincent Beckers dit : oui, oui, oui, allez-y ! Bon, d'accord, le Fourneau est à mille lieues quantitatif et qualitatif de Bokrijk. Mais nous en sommes en Wallonie et les sousous manquent ! Cependant, ... more »Vincent Beckers said: Yes, Yes, Yes, go ahead! Okay, the furnace is miles away and quantity of Bokrijk. But we are in Wallonia and the susu are missing! However, the efforts to maintain and improve the site worth visiting, deserve that stop, leaving a message of encouragement in the guestbook, and that we participate in the many activities that we are regularly provides. Our Walloon heritage deserves to be saved, but in value and contributes to the stove. (too) slowly, but surely. Take two hours to wander through this piece of nature and these slices of life restored. You will not regret it. Vincent Beckers said: hugh!
Mooi museum geïntegreerd in het landschap. Spijtig dat er niet meer randanimatie is voorzien om het geheel nog realistischer te maken. Zie hoe ze het in Bokrijk doen. more »Nice museum integrated in the landscape. Pity that no more entertainment features for even more realistic. See how they do in Bokrijk.
Museum of old buildings, rebuilt by region they come from. One has the impression of walking in the countryside of a century or two ago. Little convenient parking for motorcycles. Accessible toilets. Nice to visit and free the first Sunday of the month.
The Railway Museum was closed on May 26 due to work. The exact location is not well indicated. The Museum of rural life isn't bad, the outdoors, it must be visited when the weather is part of the. A route of several kilometres walk enjoyable to follow in a framework green but not very advisable to individuals in wheelchairs. Besides, the dwellings and workshops dantan to visit do not allow those people with reduced mobility enjoy places fitted out with tools and furniture of the time. This museum is a great history book in which visitors are immersed. Feel free to bring your camera. Toilets are available on the course and a restaurant offers of food and drink. The Museum was still underway. Many machines are always stored waiting to be exposed. It deserves to be visited when all this is over.
Nice, quiet and full of discoveries! Has a concentration of the region on a single site, discover!
