  • Talbot House you can really taste how it must have been 100 years ago. A House fully decorated, authentic as in WWI. There is also an area where you can watch a movie. Many objects and especially writings on the everyday life of the soldiers with what they experienced to brings things to life. A nice moment is the attic. This is designed as a chapel. A steep wooden staircase, as we know in old houses, leads to the attic. There is an altar with lots of chairs and even a keyboard for music. It is the place where the officers came before they went to the front.

  • An atmospheric living museum, showing where WW1 troops came to find comfort and peace in the hell of the trenches. The birthplace of Toc H
  • Not much of a place, so many soldiers went up to the chapel you just had to go too. but going up to the top sent a cold shiver through me last time I felt like that was at the fort at Reims just walking around the outside as it was not open.
  • Not as interesting as expected. Much better places to visit around here if interested in ww1
  • It was great and i loved it.
  • Excellent welcome, charming accommodation and a good breakfast. This house is living history. Don't expect en suite but you are staying where the British soldiers stayed back from the front line up the road at Ypres. I, like them, will want to return here for another stay. Unlike them I will get the chance (God willing).
