  • One of the many British military cemeteries in the region with mainly fallen from WWI. Recently there were restoration works carried out at the main entrance gate. From Roeselare you can make beautiful bicycle tours throughout the West Flemish landscape that offers a lot of variety. Flat or gently sloping to get on these roads many monuments against that remind of WWI. On tours of ca. 75 km you can see a lot. Worth it. ...

  • Words cannot really review this, When you visit it is something you feel, something that you should see.
  • More than 7,470 soldiers have received their final resting place here. 6,231 graves remain unidentified. Poelcapelle British Cemetery is a cemetery that was implemented on 11/11/1918. Many were killed in the fierce battle delivered in October 1917, start of the third battle of Ypres. Now this killing field one of the largest cemeteries in the Ypres salient. Silent witness of war madness and loss of young human lives. Cemetery is very impressive and beautiful.
