Kleinere dierentuin, maar in oppervlakte wel groter dan bvb Antwerpen. Het leuke eraan is wel dat de dieren toch in grotere verblijven zitten. We have visited on a Wednesday in October and then it was very quiet and very pleasant. In terms of price this at the goekdopere zoological gardens. The catering was what less, in terms of both quality and price. In terms of length of time you have 3-4 hours, including time for something to eat. The bear Woods was definitely a must. Not a huge zoo. Easy to do in a day. Kids loved it here. The animals were active and approachable. There are little benches all throughout the park with nice views. We only had a pack of fries but they where well made and the price wasn't crazy like in big zoos.
There are certainly areas of the zoo that are 'old school' and cause you to be a bit sad for the animals, but there are newer areas which are nicer. For a small zoo this has a lot to offer young kids and because of its location it is accessible to many people who live in in the region of Limburg and the Kempen.
Small zoo. Lot if construction going on. Nice selection of animald
It feels like the zoo is developing. Some of the animals are kept in metal+concrete cages, while other has really amaizing spaces. There is very nice playground. Do not eat in restaurant it is disgusting
Animals are well taken care of. Very clean park and staff is friendly
