  • One of the most beautiful cemeteries from World War I, British and German graves side by side with each other. Well worth a wander.

  • Coming soon to the world heritage of Unesco. Remarkable site with many features. The main: the Germans and the allies to the same place. Still: the first and the last dead of the great war. Still: a McCartney and a Lennon...

  • Very well maintained a park-like cemetery. Graves appointed different dns quiet places.

  • Having just completed a tour of the area this cemetery is by far the nicest settings for such a sad place, a few seats would be useful for a time of contemplation especially for the less able.
  • WWI cemetery with both allied and german sldiers buried there. The first and last soldier who died are buried in this place. Nice place to remember horror of wars
  • A must see for those interested, one of the most beautiful cemetery I visited at the moment. A special feature: three graves, the first British soldier killed in action in 1914, the grave of the last British soldier killed on 11 November 1918, and the grave of an officer who was awarded the Victoria Cross (see photos). A special feature on German tombstones of a style can share. The layout and realization of the cemetery is a high quality design.

  • walking among the graves of young men of barely eighteen years old, died for the honour of their country and to preserve freedom, all because of the stupidity of a few men. A great moment of emotion and sadness that could transpose into many places in the world. A must if you come to Mons
