  • We came this 05/08 for the weekend of the night of the stars (especially for our child). We had initially "only" for this event, and in the end we had a great day as well for animations and "annual" for the specific program for this weekend. Excellent staff members home, great free lockers available, easy parking, cafeteria with what to eat (but do not expect to make a great meal...) During the tour, our child could learn (or understanding) quite a lot, for example she liked to bike in building A. Each building has its specificity, A such place, discovered by the game (building D and electricity) to another by reading / viewing of films. The only downside (but due to attendance and intensive use of the equipment), some things didn't work; Some headsets, recalcitrant games. With regard to the part related to the stars, very interesting conference (although of course it was a condensed version) from my point of view of adult, at times a little complicated for our 9 year old but very well presented by a speaker doing everything to enable children to participate. The planetarium very well also presented referring to the past and final of the evening, watching the Moon of Saturn (and rings) and Jupiter and its moons. In all respects, a day successful. our child is asleep on the way back the head in the stars.!

  • A really well organized Robotics Workshop, equipment for all students, it lacked a bit of time. Exhibitions then more difficult for interested students even with the questionnaire. We remember especially the workshops always very interesting.

  • Very nice tour of this Science Park. Several themes and possibilities to book workshops. We have seen an activity dedicated to the stars (in a bubble) a bit expensive (35 euros for 3 people including 2 children) but worth the effort.

  • The kids (5 and 11 years old) had such a great time. We spent 4 wonderful hours over there.
  • This place is amazing, especially during the winter when there is nothing for the kids outdoors. Lots of activities and age oriented expositions.
  • This place is great, took my 11 + 9 year old and they love it! Wasn't too crowded wich is good because you get the chance to take your time, we spend 3 hours here. My kids did the acrobat twice. A good place to take the kids on a Sunday since pretty much everything is closed!
  • nice place for children. big enough to stay one day. good place to visit when the weather is bad. try one of the specials days ( free entry )
  • Nice site to explore many things. But trying to be too many things to too many people. Good if you like variety, serendipitous discovery or discussions about big questions.

Where to stay in Mons

Despite its close proximity to the capital, Mons attracts enough visitors in its own right to offer a small variety of accommodation options. You'll find mostly small, independent hotels clustered in the compact city center and, if you look carefully, a modest selection of low-budget lodgings. To cut costs, consider staying in Brussels and making the short trip by train for the day.
