  • beautiful Cathedral worth entering, one can go to the tower with the stairs.

  • The entrance to the Cathedral is free, but to climb the tower you have to pay. It is recommended to climb the 538 steps since you're seeing the entire system which has the chimes and even the room from where you play. You raise up the whole and all Flanders you can see also, Mechelen is a city with much charm and very nice and from the tower you have a different view.

  • We entered the Cathedral running from the rain and we have this gem. Since then it has no waste: Gothic style, cared for lovingly and with a helpful staff that not only helps you with a visit to the Cathedral and the tower but does not hesitate to give you a map of the city and recommendations on routes to follow and places to visit. It was certainly a success. By the way, the views from the tower are precious and explanatory posters are also in Spanish!

  • Beautifull buiding, but €8 to climb the tower is a bit expensive
  • Beautiful Cathedral. The views from the tower are breathtaking. Listening and watching how the carillon plays is quite an experience.
  • Great cathedral! Worth a visit to the top.
  • Great place to visit, really great view, can be a little unnerving if very windy.
  • I randomly came across the church on a friday afternoon (circa 16:30) and was enchanted by the gratifyingly long carillon (about 15min+) The interior as well as the exterior were besides the size quite ordinary. Two things which greatly bugged me was the perpetual music which played inside the church (some random angelic sort of music) and the utterly high price to visit the tower (7€!!!) If you ever should visit Mechelen, make sure you listen to the carillon and don't foster such unacceptable prices for tower visits!
