  • Former residence of Margherita of Austria, Charles V's aunt, who spent here his childhood. Distant part of the preserved gothic features, the part that is closer to the street, built in Renaissance style. This Palace is imprinted on numerous Flemish paintings. Now here the City Court, but you can pass in a cute courtyard.

  • I didn't think it was so easy to reach, motivated by the language, I felt some difficulty, but the Palace is beautiful, bears the name of the Governor of the Netherlands in the years 1500. Beautiful garden. worth going to!

  • Margaret of Austria (1480-1530), Archduchess Margaret of Austria, daughter of Maximilian I of Habsburg and Burgundian Duchy of Marie, who hits the aunt of Emperor Charles v. And here Mechelen took charge of the education of Karl's nephew and niece. At the entrance of the Palace is open slightly and the coat of arms on the Margaret and Charles v's coat of arms engraved on its facade. For Henry VIII's second wife, Anne Boleyn (7 years younger than Charles) are educated here in sight was the Karl May. Shows the graciousness, but not widely, Renaissance-style buildings and the cloister garden will never. Now in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks, to enter the courtyard. (Diagonally opposite) near the Palace, the Palace of Margaret of York. From here, married the Duke of Burgundy, known as Marguerite de Bourgogne (Marguerite de Bourgogne 1446-1503). And is the daughter of his ex-wife Marie of Burgundy. You can see sculptures of the coat of arms of the House of York and Charles v as well as on the façade.
