Place Saint-Lambert, Liege

#27 of 96 in Things to do in Liege
Landmark · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
See the site of the 8th-century St. Lambert's Cathedral at Place Saint-Lambert, now a central square in front of the former Prince-Bishop's Palace. The foundation of the former cathedral, which stood here for over 1,000 years, is still preserved in the Archéoforum Museum just below the square. You can visit it by following a flight of stairs that lead down to the entrance. The square is also a bus hub for the city, so there is a constant stream of new faces moving through the attraction. The square can be toured quickly, so consider including it on a walking tour of the city. To visit Place Saint-Lambert and other attractions in Liege, use our Liege trip maker site.
