See the site of the 8th-century St. Lambert's Cathedral at Place Saint-Lambert, now a central square in front of the former Prince-Bishop's Palace. The foundation of the former cathedral, which stood here for over 1,000 years, is still preserved in the Archéoforum Museum just below the square. You can visit it by following a flight of stairs that lead down to the entrance. The square is also a bus hub for the city, so there is a constant stream of new faces moving through the attraction. The square can be toured quickly, so consider including it on a walking tour of the city. Make Place Saint-Lambert a part of your Liege vacation plans using our Liege vacation route planner.

  • The most known place of the Liège city! Nothing extraordinary to see to visit! The bus station and shops nearby.

  • I'm sad the State of the environment of the place St Lambert. Despite combis of security agents, I don't feel comfortable. The place isn't pretty at all. Popping, pollution... As long I would have preferred another reflection of the burning city.

  • I find this place a little simplistic. What to see on this site? The Palace of the Bishop princes and the archeo-forum. Otherwise, nothing if not an impersonal place as thousands of people a day attending. Place - Saint - Lambert of front with its restaurants, its theatre of the gym, its luxury shops, and especially his photographer and his small airplane which marked a forever our passage to the Liegecette place was surrounded by stores like the Grand Bazaar, where Saint-Nicola received children among robots and toys of luxe.Combien of projects we issued, for years, to make a new Place where it is not good to cross at night so she's an insecure place.
