Place Saint-Lambert, Liege
(1.5/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
See the site of the 8th-century St. Lambert's Cathedral at Place Saint-Lambert, now a central square in front of the former Prince-Bishop's Palace. The foundation of the former cathedral, which stood here for over 1,000 years, is still preserved in the Archéoforum Museum just below the square. You can visit it by following a flight of stairs that lead down to the entrance. The square is also a bus hub for the city, so there is a constant stream of new faces moving through the attraction. The square can be toured quickly, so consider including it on a walking tour of the city. Make Place Saint-Lambert a part of your Liege vacation plans using our Liege vacation route planner.

  • It is a meeting place and a pleasant space where everything is not sacrificed to trade, although the usual shops (Mediamarkt, Fnac, H & M...) are nearby. On the other hand, although not aggressive, a certain fauna (drug addicts, beggars,...) lurks constantly and does give you a comfortable feeling of security. the city is too permissive in this regard.

  • Hard to not go through this place which is for me the centre of Liège. It is above all a place of meeting for students but also a gathering place. We can discover the architecture of the buildings nearby.

  • This square is the Centre of the city, surrounded by "monuments" among which are the City Hall and the Opera. It's nice, and I can take some pictures, but I found the center of Liège very insecure with small gangs of youths spread by locals around the square with dubious aspect. The Mall where I parked it was dirty and with many graffiti! I really like the environment not abandoned the city maybe without knowing how she deserved!
