Bobbejaanland, Lichtaart

(3.5/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web)
Experience the theme park of one of Belgium's much-loved performers at Bobbejaanland. Founded in 1960 by Bobbejaan Schoepen, a Flemish musician and entertainer, the attraction was owned by the same family until 2004. It began as a performance venue with seating for 1,000 people, but slowly evolved into a theme park with rides; today it boasts over 400 employees. Josée Schoepen, Bobbejaan's wife, also amassed a large collection of Hopi and Navajo artwork, one of the rare collections of Native American art in Europe. The 50 attractions, which will make you scream and laugh in turn, include roller coasters, water slides, traditional carnival rides, and shows. Many of the park's rides are intense, with bragging rights as some of the fastest and longest roller coasters in Europe. Buy tickets online or upon arrival. • Nice Park but a little... disappointed a few attractions closed, he had to wait for the smaller attractions as a person managed 2 attractions so when one worked the other was wrong, we still paid the normal price of tickets... for a weekend during the Easter holidays!

  • Bobbejaanland, a park with lots of history and for many of my generation known in the past. The park has not a stirring history of owners and that is contemporary. For good current rating I rate as every aspect of the park. The admission: Online are currently many discounts. The full amount charged is all but necessary. As park being I would myself ask ourselves whether or not it would be wiser just to keep the entrance price attractive. Anyway, after a short search I € 21.95 paid for the entrance. On arrival at the car park you need (anno 2017) to pay 8 € on a tight parking space. After a brief bags control we see that the registers are very busy (there are only 2 open what is disappointing). The entrance gates are also fairly busy since one should scan the barcode itself to come in. The help is at its most minimal. Unfortunately, so far not so positive. The park itself: upon entering there are approx 4 extras with a 6 many photographers who impose herself to with your on the picture. We were even barred by one of the performers to join the picture. After pushing this extra we could finally through the park in. I noticed a very large irritation of many. The park itself is still as before, a pretty park built to a large lake. One has tried to change the entrance (versoberen in my opinion) what a pity, actually is. I understand that everything with the times, but this looks rather cost effective as that it is a positive change. Many screaming signs about candy and cake that should lure customers ..... We walk further into the park and see happy, however, that the remaining area still somewhat saved. Maintenance is also, unfortunately, less and that we notice really everywhere. Jungle river is as an example that really sad in State is compared to the past. What also noticed is that strange length restrictions with respect to other parks. So is it my train (electric powered) a real children's roller coaster. Unfortunately occurred here a restriction of 1.20 mtr what really is nonsense. You walk so very wrong your target group. According to an operator to the brackets? Strangely, these jobs are everywhere so also at plopsaland de panne and there it is really 1mtr to minimum length. Bobbejaanland also has a huge Hall with children's attractions. There were no less than 2 employees in around that everything had to operate. So you will have to wait for the attraction's turn is where the small offspring in will. Sin, there is so much more to do if your target market is present also in the park. The park has so many great attractions that unfortunately ruined as far as have changed or that it actually is a disappointment to anyone who has ever been there earlier. I can imagine that for new visitors a moderately park that is what nifty stuff. For some to sum up: Revolution (roller coaster in) has the old music anymore ... Sledge Hammer (large frisbee swing) inhibits directly off as this 1 time at its highest point. Whitewater works after all these years still without Ferris wheel with slide. Get that thing away. ... Suspended roller coaster with one train on the track. This had easy with 2 trains can work .... Typhoon (inversion roller coaster) what a rammelbak is that become say ..... There was also still some close (RAP and the bicycle monorail). And around noon to have the bulk at the same time break seemed to increase at the same time. ... Strange way of working, in my view, make sure for replacement at the attraction. The food: well, for a culinary tour de force you better go eat elsewhere. The park has a number of catering points with very slow staff. There were long lines everywhere and that while it was not at all. Are you looking for a French fries or pizza you can find in the park. You paid for a small pizza with drink approximately € 11 and € 2.50 for a beer something of it sounds a bit pessimistic but so felt it unfortunately just to park. The staff was certainly not unfriendly. (with the exception of the photographs to the entrance) The park is not super ugly. And the entrance fee in proportion certainly not distressing. But still, the park would be with the right finance might be a lot better. After all these years there is still no unity of thematisatie in the park. There is still clearly that there are so many skimped on turn duration of attractions, staff and maintenance. It is these things provide a high park. Conclusion: are you looking for a park where you can stay for a reasonable amount a day than meets Bobbejaanland though. However, do not expect too much of and look a bit by the environment. Also, locate a quiet day out (the park is not immensely crowded generally), and go into the evening just in the village of Kasterlee food or something. Then it should all be fine. Tips: search online for deals for the day you want to go. Visit the park with preference with children longer as an mtr. then there is more to do. After closing time just good food in the area. Bobbejaanland has in bad weather also called what to do.

  • Fun amusement park, of course, begin to feel the ravages of time at some attractions, though they are no less nice of course. If you have the price compares to other amusement parks I think you here are cheaper, though there is in my view for adults just a little less to do as bv. in Walibi. The food is standard amusement park food, so expensive and usually greasy, but not necessarily dirty; I think this is peculiar to every amusement park. You can, of course, bring your own lunch. Definitely recommended for a very fun afternoon out for not too much money.

  • The park was okay. Somethings could be better. The parking lot was quite far away from the entrance of the park. The toilets just outside of the ticket place where kind of dirty. The ones inside are better. The food is quite overpriced for what you get, 14 euros for most menus in the restaurant. ( fast-food like) There were long waiting rooms at each attraction. It would indeed be useful to have had an inside on how long the waiting time would be. The virtual reality roller-coaster Samsung Mount Mara was the highlight of the the day really cool and a lot of fun.
  • Enough eat possibilities. Almost all attractions were open. I'm missing insight in the waiting times though.
  • A nice attraction park but can earn an extra star if everything was a buy more maintained not the attractions itself but mainly everything around it can use some new paints etc etc
  • very nice, not to much dirt, only the toilets need better cleaning
  • Ok Parc although overall organisation is pretty poor. Unclear signs at attractions where I couldn't tell whether it was open or closed. Should be easy to fix I would think.
