  • In this interior design very modern church is the last resting place of Father Damien. In the middle of the car-restricted part of Leuven.

  • The history of this Chapel dates back to the 14th century. Due to a thorough renovation in the 1960s, however, there are few traces of the original medieval building. This allows this place do not bend on a unique architecture and also the art objects are limited in number. However, forms the St. Anthony Chapel an interesting place to visit thanks to the figure of Father Damien. Since 1936 rests the body of the ' greatest Belgian ' after all in the austere crypt, which is located in the basement of the Chapel is. The Chapel itself contains a permanent exhibition, which on the basis of photographs and text the compelling life story of Joseph De Veuster presents. The Church and crypt are free of charge and open every day from 9 am to 6 pm.
