  • contemporary art, a little bit of history, a variety of temporary exhibitions, café, not the Hermitage, but quite a worthwhile place to visit is not for one hour.

  • Modern entrance and reception area. Everything very clearly. Very logical connecting exhibition halls. Pretty crowded. Minus is that the toilets and lockers in the basement.

  • Very beautiful exhibition around the utopia of Thomas More, bringing together Flemish paintings, paintings by Holbein, a drawing of Durher, paintings by Jérôme Bosch, superb tapestries, enclosed gardens (a specialty of the convent of Mechelen where the nuns would make tables in relief including a religious scene surrounded by flowers, leaves, plant paper, tissue, pieces of glass, restored recently) , of artefacts (astrolabes, Ptolemaic spheres, cards, etc.) as well as of remarkable manuscripts illuminated beauty. A big downside, however because of the absence of catalogue in french, Dutch and English copies being offered only. We are still in a Belgian city, certainly located in Flanders, but the intellectual and cultural past prestigious and nearly universal. and it is particularly disappointing that a flamingant radicalism irrelevant come taint the end of the visit of many French people visiting the exhibition. A petty little glorious altogether.

  • Very interesting exhibitions; both permanent and temporary, both modern and classic, and both local and international. Don't forget to visit the rooftop bar!
  • Good value, just 12 euro to see this and St Peter's church. A nice well kept museum, with a permanent collection and guest exhibitions.
  • This museum shows old master pieces of church art and pairings in the golden ages of Dutch. The painting shows us blue, bright and wet climate of Netherlands. Especially, Frans Hals's portrait deeply impressed me, in which people often smiled.
  • Best in Leuven with great art work and interesting modern exhibitions :) Nice staff at the main entrance!
  • Nice collection, good option to take kids but make sure to reserve beforehand as temporary events are popular.
