  • Is located on an island in the middle of the river. Judging from the location where lepers were moved here to taint does not spread to the city. Now it is usual to the Church with a strange schedule: came in the morning-closed, although on schedule d.b. openly walked past later openly, although on schedule lunch. Inside worth looking into medieval crucifix.

  • Onze-Lieve-Vrouwehospitaal Kortrijk is situated in Budastraat, and is not an attraction as most tourists visit. The hospital was founded in 1212. The word comes from the latin ' hospital hospitalis ' and means ' hospitality ' in more detail than what we today understand by the word hospital. There was therefore a place for wayfarers, navlig pilgrims could stay overnight before they continued their journey the following day. Later we also took of the city's poor, and hospittalet was therefore also a kind of retirement home. From the beginning there were both monks and nuns affiliated with hostpitalet, but in 1500-century monks disappeared and only the Augustinian sisters were now attached to the House. The Church has come to later than the monastery. It is from 1718 and in the Baroque style. As a guest here you will see only the Church. The monastery is not open to the public, and it is not a sight you have to go far to see. But we happen to pass by, as I did, you can spend 10 minutes in the Church.

  • Rich collection of historical pieces however, you are only able to look at Michelangelo's statue from afar. You will not see much of it.
  • Nice church. Was under construction when I visited. But at least I could see the beautiful sculpture of Michelangelo.
  • We came to see michael angelo's statue.. and we were allowed to see from far away. See picture. I think, 4 euros is a waste of money, if its ur intent to observe this statue. Better see them on photos. I consider, its sheer greediness in not allowing people to see the statue up close, like they displayed in front.
  • Beautiful inside and outside. Spend some time to explore.
  • Very beautiful church but they are doing some renovations now.
