  • At the bend of a road is a charming house surrounded by a garden that hides a beautiful and extensive museum dedicated to the artist Paul Delvaux. It is very well maintained just as it is nice to are wandering through the various exhibits where are the works of the painter. During the visit, we can easily follow the evolution of the artist through the educational panels. It is true that the lighting is not always optimal for the contemplations of the paintings, a small flat just as the excessive price of admission compared to large-scale museums!

  • From the outset, we are attracted by this charming. When the door is pushed, we move, surprised by the extent of the parts, which hide every time another. A very well maintained, retrospective Museum sharp of the different periods and works of the artist. A small problem however, lights are not always optimal for contemplation of the paintings. The price of the entrance a little surprised, but worth the visit. The ideal is to offer a guide, but at €65, families blow their budget. Pity that the culture is not accessible to all.

  • Amazing Museum whose size (also in the basement) is totally above suspicion when you arrive. Indeed it is at the base of one of these typical villas of St.-Idesbald. It's very nice to get there by bicycle by following the (very good) directions. Parking is provided just in front. Beautiful very representative works of the artist are exhibited as well as didactic panels well arranged along the tour there. Furthermore, depending on the time of year, there are temporary exhibitions tracing one or another less known aspect of the artist (lithographs, etc). The entry price is therefore (€13) for this museum. I found it excessive knowing that for €16 we spend the whole day at the Prado in Madrid without being able to see everything!

  • The Museum PAUL DELVAUX of St. Idesbald presents the largest collection in the world in a newly renovated area of more than 1 000 m2. It invites you to discover paintings, watercolours, drawings, sketchbooks, engravings, illustrating the work of a painter to international success. It makes you dive into the heart of a universe with poetic overtones and find women and skeletons, neoclassical architecture and the trains involved in the daydream of this internationally appreciated artist. In addition to the permanent collection, to frequently revisited scenography, the Museum offers each year new temporary exhibitions opening new perspectives on a complex and varied work.

  • Group tour with expert guide is an enrichment of the knowledge of the life and works of Paul Delvaux. Never suspected that in the subsurface of the gaudy residential area so many wonderful works of art are hidden. Cosy terrace with friendly service. In the shop showed no interest in the responsible for its customers: a greeting makes however a good day.
