  • It should really be "bitten" by the fisheries to be able to find something here. Summarily, cold, dark, boring and certainly uninteresting for the younger folk. Can that be right?

  • Double exhibition: the history of fishing in Heist, Knokke-Heist, partly in relation to the Zwin. Very quiet, I was the only visitor. Lots of free parking nearby. Ideal for an hour to pass and there is still some of on to cross as well. Interesting contrasts between the hard fisherman's life and the luxeleventje of the tourists.

  • Yesterday 27/11 there was a nice note in the Museum Sincfala in Heist by Danny Lacroix, at the exhibition in Scharpoord history-Architecture duinbergen. Particularly interesting and tailored duinbergen. As it turned out a landing stage on the beach for fishing boats to emerge in Heist. That place was then accessible around 1830 by train via Blankenberge, lock and then so to Heist. Around 1868 was Heist also accessible via Tram. In 1880 a large lot grounds were purchased by Mr Serwytens from Bruges, East of the first core of Heist; where later in 1901 for the duinbergen if Stüben architect plan designs.

  • Little cohesion. Many repeated. Not very interesting. Could be done better.
