Inspirock Rating:
4/5 based on 440+ reviews on the web
Visit a fairy tale-like castle turned amusement park at Bellewaerde. The attraction was once a nature and safari park, but in the 1980s it expanded to include themed rides geared towards families. The 54 hectare (130 acre) area juxtaposes landscaped gardens with rides like the Boomerang and the Screaming Eagle. If you want to try the water rides, such as the boat rides, wear clothing you don't mind getting a little wet. Visit some of the 300 animals that still live on the grounds and temper the thrills with the harmony of nature. Tickets are available at the ticket booth upon arrival, or you can purchase them in advance online for a small discount. The attraction is seasonal, so check times in advance. • A good day to spend like all the years! Not a lot of waiting but excellent attractions!

  • We are here last Saturday to go with 2 people because we had gotten free tickets. The park is very outdated, dirty and cheerless! The toilets are also dirty, there was also not always SOAP to wash the hands. Many attractions for children and families, not really for people who are looking for adrenalin (Boomerang was fun, but that's it) what my heart really has broken the animals stay: very small, cheerless and not well maintained! Who here also but I don't write about positive word 1 can snap! Look at that animals, which look so unhappy! And why is it necessary to show with that shows animals (they are just like in a circus also struck behind the scenes)? Leave them alone, they've been such a horrible life with you! I really can't understand that people want to see something like that and also want their children to see this! Go rather to Pairi Daiza, there it is 1000 x more beautiful and happier from the animals see there (as far as this is possible in captivity)! Where I cannot at all is that there in the reserves of the Lions drive around constantly trains with visitors who call and take pictures! How stupid and ignorant can you are as human beings to participate? Imagine how you would feel if you trapped??? THAT WHOLE ANIMAL PARK TRADE! Send the animals to a reserve and offer some great years and invest some more in the look and maintenance of you park and attractions! I'll never go back!

  • It had been 5 years that I don't go, until 2011 I was going 2-3 times per year with a bunch of friend. I was a joy to go back with children of 5 and 8 years to discover the Park and share my childhood memories. Unfortunately one of my favorite attraction (that I had sold pendants from the days to children!) is now closed: Los piratas. How sad I will not hear this haunting music, the attraction has been replaced by a roller coaster indoor/outdoor that isn't worth much. The monorail, which allowed to make a tour of the Park in deleted height, the old jalopies Ditto... that's a lot amusement that my little wolves could have done. Too bad, so too bad! Some positives: the Park is better maintained than before, the buoys are always excellent, security.
