Bellewaerde, Ieper (Ypres)

4.0
#2 of 19 in Theme Parks in Flanders
Theme Park Zoo / Aquarium
Visit a fairy tale-like castle turned amusement park at Bellewaerde. The attraction was once a nature and safari park, but in the 1980s it expanded to include themed rides geared towards families. The 54 hectare (130 acre) area juxtaposes landscaped gardens with rides like the Boomerang and the Screaming Eagle. If you want to try the water rides, such as the boat rides, wear clothing you don't mind getting a little wet. Visit some of the 300 animals that still live on the grounds and temper the thrills with the harmony of nature. Tickets are available at the ticket booth upon arrival, or you can purchase them in advance online for a small discount. The attraction is seasonal, so check times in advance. • Good park with a lot of things to do for kids. The zoo part is not very nice, enclosures are really small and not furnished. The park is maintained quite well, with some lacks though but nothing alarm...  more »
  • Park with a human dimension. Animals are in too cramped enclosures. No attraction traditional kind swing. Very access type fairground attractions.

  • Great rides, great staff and park. My only critasism is their new ride the Dawson duel. The main point of it is to race your friends but you don't get this option when you finally reach the top. We didn't even get released at the same time as some random in the next lane
  • To have fun for younger people and the other people its good ,But not too many places for the small children I refer to the smaller 3, 4... years its only for the bigger person has many things to see, also expensive tickets for 3 persons and one child I paid 64€ just tickets for entrance the other stuff anyone can see from self.
  • This Park is well worth the visit. There is a good selection of rides and also lots of exotic animals.
  • Pretty fun for Young and old. Nice rides.
  • Fun park for the whole family Neat park with wildlife animals , must see
