  • The Cathedral of Saint Bavo is very mùooi to visit on a sunny day because the sunlight shining through the beautiful bransglazen. The Lamb of God is wonderful and belongs to the world heritage site of Van Eyck is the absolute Flemish master in detail and color

  • A beautifully designed cathedral. Some stunning sculptures, architecture and paintings. Free to visit and shows a lot about the history of Gent
  • Large Cathedral cold enough. A little rococo by place (including Chair). This lack of soul. Banned photos but few regrets because little interest. Black and white everywhere. However "Lamb of God" must-have.

  • Beautiful cathedral. Was covered in scaffolding for a while but its shining again. Inside you'll find the painting "Ghent Alterpiece" (Lam Gods) from Ven Eyck.
  • Absolutely breathtaking. Location of the Ghent altarpiece. The Crypt is actually a museum. Unfortunately unable to take photos inside.
  • One of the finest cathedrals in Belgium and, therefore, the world. Do pay the few euros needed to see the Lamb of God painting (go left at the entrance of the cathedral), it will be one of the finests works you will ever see, literally worth 50 mona lisas.
  • From the outside it looks like a big church. From the inside its the most impressive church I've ever seen. It's so big, as you wander round, there are lots of other mini rooms and places of worship all along the corridors. A must see if your in the area. The general decor/colour is quite dark - it's very unusual colour mix.
  • The Altarpiece, as reported in other reviews, is extraordinary and is worth the time and effort. Vastly under-appreciated.
