  • If you must have more than 1 day to Ghent, go here. A very original Psychiatry Museum.

  • It's worth making a detour in this former psychiatric hospital. In addition to the permanent exhibition, which is interesting I discovered an exhibition on adoption. The theme may seem austere, but it is treated in a very interesting way. Testimony from adoptees looking for their parents, children arborigenes history, superheroes... on documentary photographic literary media make it rewarding cultural visit.

  • One of the most interesting museums I've visited. The exhibitions are something unique, and it's a pity they aren't a bit more interactive. Still, one of the things I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the city. It's just a pity that the location is not more convenient.
  • In an actual mental hospital, this museum is curated with rare exhibitions. Highly recommended for those looking for the unknown. The silence over there adds an extra layer to the experience.
  • Felt like being in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest or Shutter Island I didn't care much for the art. Some of it was cool, and the subject, death and mental illnesses, was original and unsettling, which I liked, but, the main attraction, is the building itself. You could tell that it used to be a psychiatric hospital just by it's entrance. Ominous is the word. And once inside, this feeling gets even stronger. Great place to let your imagination wander about what might have happened inside those walls. Visited March 2014
  • Museum very interesting, think about starting by the permanent exhibition on the history of Psychiatry. She quickly takes the time if we want to do it thoroughly!
