  • First reaction: ' I had expected more of it '. The local products were not really special. Kinda nice to have the old building, the Hall.

  • Less valued than it deserves, I found it one of the most interesting I've admired in Flanders (and believe me the competition lacks). Built in ' 400 to accommodate the meat market, has remained virtually intact in six hundred years of history. Now you can taste the specialties of the region ... in a beautiful medieval atmosphere. Safe journey:)

  • Our tour was planned entry here once that access is free of charge however was closed due to some work inside. However the Guide did not fail to make an explanation of this operation mode "House of meat" where in your insides are hanging hams of very good quality. Even today, these are not for the scholarship. Abroad there are a few small annexes where, according to him, is sold to lower-quality meat and an accessible price. Processed meats (sausages) are also sold in these annexes.

  • Great place to dine with friends. This was one of our best meals when we visited Ghent. Portions are generous. I forgot my mobile phone and the waiter ran after us at the end of the street.
  • Historic building. Good place to taste some local delicacies or shop souvenirs.
  • Nice looking building. A lot of meat!
  • This bar is located in the meat market. The site is very nice, all of stone with a few hams hanging from the ceiling, that if you come from Spain you will be curious why they are fat and little ones. Inside take a few local beers (Gentse Tripel) very good and a plate of various sausages and cheese to accompany the beer. Site recommended to drink by the place in which it is located.

  • This medieval building is now the Centre for the promotion of regional products.
