  • One of the few real tourist traps in Ghent. A shame. The beer is not brewed there, but they try to give you the impression they do..all tho anyone with a bit of decent knowledge of beer knows it's not...  more »
  • Saturday 21 October we visited the brewery with 9 friends followed by a stew eaten at the Novotel. This package costs 25 per person and is a good price/quality ratio. Especially the explanation at the brewery was a highlight. With a lot of humor was told us the brewing process and also overall information about brewing beers came to the order. Super good. Then we had to go to the Novotel to go in eating in the gruutkelder. From the brewery, we were a bit left to us and if we are looking for the hotel. Once got there turned out to be the gruutkelder filled and we were in the ' ordinary ' restaurant. Very sorry! The beef stew was cold, but this was picked up by the fine control. After a further penny wait we got a hot meal. This was, especially considering its low cost, fine. All in all a fun day. Unfortunately no 5 stars. Already had the guide in the brewery and the staff restaurant certainly earned.

  • Useful, scant explanation, little left to your destiny. That they go and see in Bruges. De halve maan brewery takes a different approach and is highly recommended. There is possibility to make something out of it.

  • Excellent location. Very cool vibe and great local beers.
  • Nothing but love for these guys. Our bachelor party showed up at the end of an evening, and they brought us in and gave us the works. Great to see a brewery like these guys thriving!
  • This new location wasn't finished yet when we visited, and the opening hours were a bit confusing (possibly because of the construction) but if you see that this place is open and serving beer, go in and get yourself one. Or two. Or... You get the idea.
  • Great little brewery with some awesome beer. Well worth a visit.
  • Great small brewery!
