  • The g the Devils toe, is one of the oldest monuments of the city. The history of the building dates back to the 13th century when it was owned by Jessica Knight Vilain. He would have gotten his nickname because of his dark skin and dark hair. The name Uivelsteen is never gone. The property had over the centuries a lot of functions such as a school, convent, monastery, founded, prison and even once as a fire station. The last position was that of State archives. All documents were recently moved. The protected monument was recently sold and is likely to include a new feature within a number of years back.
