  • The Belforte of Ghent, built in 1380, although not as famous as the Bruges, has 91 meters high and an amazing chime with 54 bells, in a dispute very harmonious with the Tower of Saint Bavo Cathedral.

  • This impressed us much building located in the Centre of the city. The clock tower is precious and delights us with amazing views

  • It costs € 8 per person and is nothing special. As much the view above, but they are not so. Above all if you're fat don't expect to move well out there because the stairs and the lookout has a wall with half-metre wall space or less

  • Impossible to move to Ghent without visiting this beautiful belfry and ride (walk if your condition allows, otherwise there is a lift) all upstairs to see Ghent from above. The visit of the carillon is also very friendly. Each floor a small exhibition that allows you to blow.

Where to stay in Ghent

One of Belgium's main cities, Ghent offers a good variety of places to stay. Because of its proximity to the capital city of Brussels and the city of Bruges, Ghent has fewer options than one might expect for a city of its size. Locals recommend booking a room in advance. The city has options for travelers on any budget, from inexpensive hostels to pricier hotels, with most visitors choosing to stay within the historical center. Prices drop slightly as you move away from the Old Town.
