Scenic Drive Auto Race Track
The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps motor-racing circuit is the venue of the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix, and of the Spa 24 Hours and 1000 km Spa endurance races. It is also home to the all Volkswagen club event, 25 Hours of Spa, run by the Uniroyal Fun Cup. It is one of the most challenging race tracks in the world, mainly due to its fast, hilly and twisty nature. Spa is a favourite circuit of many racing drivers and fans.Despite its name, the circuit is not in Spa but lies in the vicinity of the town of Francorchamps within the boundaries of the municipality of Stavelot, with a part in the boundaries of Malmedy. The trackThe triangleDesigned in 1920 by Jules de Thier and Henri Langlois Van Ophem, the original triangle-shaped course used public roads between the Belgian towns of Francorchamps, Malmedy, and Stavelot. The track was intended to have hosted its inaugural race in August 1921, however this event had to be cancelled as there was only one entrant. The first car race was held at the circuit in 1922, and two years later saw the first running of the now famous 24 Hours of Francorchamps race. The circuit was first used for Grand Prix racing in 1925.

  • Great place; great atmosphere! But pricy food and drinks. Bring some water and coolers. Bring ear plugs for those camp sites ;)  more »
  • The circuit is amazing, facilities are good. Some signs might be more easy. Entrance to grid walk not so easy to find. Drinks and food provided everywhere, AMAZING sights !  more »

  • Beautiful race track with free entrance at certain events. We went during the International GT Open and came in via Rivage (near turn 7). This is the highest point of the track, allowing you to see a large part of the circuit. From there, it's only a 26-minute walk to the first stand, while walking right next to the race track the entire time. You can buy drinks/food halfway through this walk (2,5€ for a 20cc beverage, 4€ for a hot dog).
  • Bikers classic was excellent with full access everywhere. Place looks amazing and drinks and food not over priced once in
  • An amazing track to be on. Watching one of the free ticket races here right now, was on the trackday a couple days back. Facilities are good all around, track condition is fantastic and abides by F1 standards. Just bring hood weather!
  • By far my favourite race track in the world. Watched F1 here for 8 years and would love to return one day to drive it.
  • Awesome world famous racetrack, with the Eau Rouge corner. Really good atmosphere.
