  • We had the rail bikes reserved for in the fall, and it is good that bad! The reservation can be cancelled free of charge by the way in case of bad weather ... The ideal way to get to the Abbey of Maredsous to go! Any downside are the State of the carts ... The control can also be something more cheerful.

  • We took the track to the Maredsous Abbaye. Was a fun drive, not too much effort. On the way back a nice surprise: you just do not need to pedal at all, since gravity takes care of you. Fantastic for a...  more »
  • We rented a trolley for 6 km, to the foot of Maredsous. After 3 km uphill where there is actually in the line (boring if people in front of you nowhere, you know necessarily not exceed), stop at Denee, at the foot of the mountain of Maredsous. A few people would walk up to Maredsous, we did not because we had a young child with us. Next, there is a brewery-small kitchen, but often full, and the staff isn't all that friendly... Finally, with a bit of luck, you'll feel better for you? Otherwise, it takes minimum 3/4 hour on-site, there is not even a bench... The back is easy, it's a great descent of 3 km, so no need to pedal :) Everything went well, but to be honest, the whole a little gives an impression of abandonment, tarpaulins to cover chairs, etc... A pipe to the bosses: a device making a picture of the 'pedalers' at the start or during the descent could earn you a lot of money, in all cases me I would have bought, this photo!
