  • German Cemetery from World War I: Sober, intimate ... Best known for the grieving parents Karl and Käthe Kollwitz, whose son Peter here is buried.

  • Nice place to dwell upon the fallen. Beautiful well maintained. Hopefully we forget these victims ever again.

  • Beautiful quiet place with a good video narrative coming in to the cemetary from the parking lot. Very well maintained and very reflective of a tradegy of war.
  • A sad and reflective place to contemplate the pity of war. Seeing the pit that contains the bones of 20,000 German youth collected after the First Battle of Ypres is sad enough. But to learn from the history placards on site that the mothers of the fallen had to protest to the Kaiser to even have their children's remains collected and interred filled me with an anger against those who see their people solely as an instrument to further their own power.
  • a good place to go if you want to find out about war history. its really interesting and there is an awesome little room inside with a map of the battles. unfortunately, most of the writing is foreign, and there are only two British soldiers.
  • Impressive experience.
