Pierre Marcolini, Brussels

(4.1/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Sample the refined chocolate creations at Pierre Marcolini. New collections are introduced every season, many based on ingredients found on one of the chocolatier's numerous expeditions to cacao plantations around the world. The chocolate designs are often works of art that reflect the taste of the individual chocolate maker. Visit the boutique to browse the many flavors and designs. If you don't want to carry the delicate treats home with you, consider using the shop's e-boutique to order a delivery of favorites to be sent directly to your home. • We had heard about their chocolate and wanted to try because we had enjoyed the fact that all the manufacturing process is homemade. We were a little disappointed. This is not bad, but nothing exceptional and very expensive for just nothing very special. In addition, we realized on the home that they were wrong in the command...

  • Probably the best chocolate in belgium. Great products. Chocolate is not cheap but all the chocolate is so good. For the ones you really love only pierre marcolini.  more »
  • This is one of my 2 favorite chocolatiers in town (the other being Frederic Blondeel). The chocolate is so smooth and perfect. Makes a wonderful gift.  more »

  • We tried the jasmine with merengue pieces icecream and it was really good - very subtle flavour combinations. What was fantastic was the eclairs- they looked like pieces of art.
  • One of the best chocolates I've ever tasted. Pralines were invented by Neuhaus, perfected by Marcolini. Pricey, but worth it.
  • This is a true temple to chocolate, and Pierre Marcolini's flagship store. A must in any chocolate based exploration of Brussels. The macaroons and chocolate bars are particularly special here. Macaroons: salted caramel is not to miss. But all are great, particularly the fruity flavours (cassis is another favourite) Chocolate bars: ask to compare the flavours of different chocolate bars. These have identical recipes, but different cocoa beans. You'll be amazed by the different flavours. Pralines and gift boxes are great too (of course!)
  • Amazing chocolates. The problem is you will probably want them all.
  • Highest quality chocolate in a setting more akin to an art gallery than a shop
