Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate (Musee du Cacao et du Chocolat), Brussels

1.0
#23 of 67 in Museums in Brussels
Learn about the discovery of chocolate and then get to taste it in its finished product at Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate (Musee du Cacao et du Chocolat). The museum was formed by Gabrielle Draps, who comes from a long lineage of chocolate artisans and is also the wife of Godiva Chocolatier's founder. As you go through the museum, you will learn about the early Mayans and their discovery of chocolate. Next you will discover the processes that cocoa goes through to become chocolate. Then you can go through the exhibits of chocolate figurines. Finish off with the highly recommended demonstration of how pralines are made. • Do not expect a beautifully filled Gallery, there is little to see. However, a demonstration workshop is organized, which is otherwise more interesting and enticing :)
