  • Away from the crush of the Royal Museums of Brussels, this home and workshop of the Belgian realistic artist is only a few minutes from the little belt and the move is worth. It takes a whole day to really enjoy it and the guide, which is a lovely stands fully available to tell you about the life of Constantin Meunier which he masters the subject in great detail. It also has art catalogues where copies of other works are grouped. I was never as well received in an exhibition space which, moreover, is FREE! The House is still inhabited on the floor and available to the Museum split into three with the lounge from 1, the long corridor, the workshop and the basement makes a captivating and intimate place. The collection includes major works from the artist. Just like the Museum Wiertz (behind the European Parliament), it is one of the key places of the capital.

  • One of the sculptors more relevant of the 19th century. This your Museum, that practically no one home visit has a wide sample of his works, moulds, paintings and statues. If you liked the statue of the trough in the Ambiorix square or the statue of the stevedore in Antwerp, this Museum will allow you to learn more about this no doubt interesting artist.

  • Home and workshop of the sculptor Constantin Meunier. The master of realism in Belgium, who discovered the beauty of the worker circa 1885 and was able to highlight the actions of trades. I love his "broken Crucible" and his "Puddler at rest". Admission is free but the Museum is not on the tourist circuit, unless he goes to La Cambre. Often closed the WE, due to lack of staff. Equivalent of Rodin in France

  • Quiet museum, limited to the last 20 years of Meunier's life, but with impressive images, drawings and paintings. A MUST for whom the world of social realism, late 19th century, wants to doorvoelen. Unfortunately the museum (now, 2013) closed in the weekends.
