  • Great little museum on Belgian history from the beginning of the country in 1830 to the present day. Really well put together, lots to see and read about. Recommended museum.  more »
  • Frankly, I'm surprised this isn't rated more highly on TripAdvisor. I came here on recommendation of my sister who normally HATES museums but loved the BELvue. It covers the history of Belgium since 1...  more »
  • The history of Belgium which according to this museum does not exist before 1830, or who comes down from room to room to conflicts to introduce is saying the current situation is ridiculous! Hide all the former regime because ' that the independence of the country was not of the same type that currently and obscure the presentation of real life, the farmers, miners, longshoremen, teachers, scientists, writers, Nobel prizes etc is almost malicious. As for the rooms reserved for the monarchy, they have been reduced. This museum refurbished for 1 year, depresses me.

  • My review is not related to the museum but to the patio, restaurant and terrace. This is a great place to relax, rest, work, eat. The patio is quiet, lots of light with a nice view. I go there to work and relax. Amazing that so few Brussels citizens know this place!
  • Nice place to have a quiet coffee or tea or even lunch and learn about Brussels.
  • The belle vue part of the museum is not that interesting. Be prepared to read massive amounts of text if you want to get anything out of your visit.
  • Cool museum if you want to learn about the history of Brussels. Alot of it is underground, which is cool. Give yourself a couple of hours to go through this museum.
  • Interesting, but quite brief. Check out the nearby ruins of the Coudenberg palace (actually underground but the entrance is right next to this place), and be careful about eating at the cafe here because it's not only overpriced but terrible food, and people have been known to be ill from eating here, myself included.
