  • The Maison Autrique is Horta's first step into the world of Art Nouveau. The façade is attractive yet sober at the same time, with none of the flourishes of full-blown Art Nouveau as seen elsewhere in...  more »
  • This House, which has been studied in detail by the great architect of the end of the 19th century early 20th, was particularly avant-garde for its time. It has been perfectly restored recently and currently its Street façade is in full restoration. It testifies to the bourgeois houses of that era. What spoils nothing, she is well furnished with quality furniture and similar to that originally planned. Visit with a guide of ARAU, well documented, accurate, and complete.

  • A house where we are free of its not taking pictures... The inverse of the horta House Street American and his staff. Here fewer visitors, also less demonstrative House from a point of view art new but very interesting with the contribution of Schuitten (the room on the top floor!). Imagine life in this House, avenue louis bertrand just next door with its buildings new art is very pretty and the Park Jehoshaphat at the end is worth the detour! I absolutely don't approve a previous comment on the area around the Museum.

  • Early art nouveau world heritage
  • Dark house. More neo than art nouveau.
  • New Art Museum. First town house built by Victor Horta in 1893. Set design by François Schuiten and Benoît Peeters.

  • Superb. I recommend.

  • Not too big, you gradually go from Horta / Art Nouveau to Schuiten / obscure cities by climbing the floors. It's beautiful, it's alive, hospitality is charming.
