Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert, Brussels

(4.3/5 based on 5,500+ reviews on the web)
With gourmet Belgian chocolate shops housed in a 19th-century shopping arcade with a glass roof, it's hard to say what the real attraction is at Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert. The shopping center attracts both locals and tourists who want to browse the chocolate shops and clothing boutiques or enjoy a quiet moment in one of the cafes. The glass ceiling brings in sunlight while protecting you from the weather, so you can enjoy the building's beauty at any time of year. Walk along the wide corridor between matching facades, shop the luxury labels, and soak up some culture at one of the museums housed in the galleries. Using our international travel planner, Brussels attractions like Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Beautiful archways, sold Belgium chocolates and other foodstuffs primarily. Beautiful to see in Easter with all the intricately patterned Easter eggs on sale
  • This gallery is home to some of the finest chocolates (and assorted novelties des riches) in the world. This is not just a cliché. We taste tested chocolate from several shops, but a chocolatier at Neuhaus offered several samples that were simply exquisite, and were made and _only_ available at that store, that day, despite other Neuhaus stores in Brussels offering their products. Two things stand out at these galleries: First, money. But unlike shops for the nouveau riche, products sold here seemed to fully exemplify the quality their price tags are supposed to indicate they possess. If you are in the region, even without a big budget, this is worth stopping by even if only to look and sample.
  • Beautiful place. Lots of chocolate shops. Must see in Brussels.
  • Some of the finest Belgian Chocolate shops in Brussels reside here! Also a very beautiful shopping area.
  • A litle jewel, but better go back out the way you got in as the Brussels Urbanist planning didn't bother/manage to embed it in a nice environment all around. People still don't understand this is the Capital of Europe. In London, Paris, Vienna, Prague, etc. this would be unimaginable.
