Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert, Brussels

#1 of 182 in Shopping in Belgium
With gourmet Belgian chocolate shops housed in a 19th-century shopping arcade with a glass roof, it's hard to say what the real attraction is at Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert. The shopping center attracts both locals and tourists who want to browse the chocolate shops and clothing boutiques or enjoy a quiet moment in one of the cafes. The glass ceiling brings in sunlight while protecting you from the weather, so you can enjoy the building's beauty at any time of year. Walk along the wide corridor between matching facades, shop the luxury labels, and soak up some culture at one of the museums housed in the galleries. The galleries are frankly beautiful, every morning we were going to buy something sweet for breakfast, we were housed in an apartment airbnb, very close. Their shops are very well maintained and we became clients of which sold chocolates, we we wanted to give a tribute in one of them I do not remember the name that was expensive, we attended a young Spanish, all had white gloves to pick up the product, it was part of the "theatre" because then we don't notice the difference in the quality of the chocolates, or at least not in relation to the price. I was surprised that there was a ramp in elegant galleries, to save the step of access to them, super seedy, was as provisional, but had painted there take years. In general I saw the city a little decadent,

Two steps from the Grand'Place, the St-Hubert Royal galleries are a commercial crossing surmounted by glazed arcades. It is nice to stroll through the Gallery of the King, the Queen and the Princes... especially when it's raining!

It is a beautiful Mall. There were a lot of people enjoy shopping there is actually only chocolate you can buy, so rather than ramble. When you understand Europe road map back in this gallery and Grand landmark, lost staff.

DOV:20Feb2014 'Saint-Hubert Royal Galaries' is the beautiful indoor shopping arcade in Brussels with roof completely made of glass. Its nearly 200 years old and very neatly maintained. There are many chocolate shops on both the sides and you will get special Belgian chocolates here. However there used to be huge rush here.

Glorious architecture 18th century version of a indoor shopping centre. Needs bit of attention and care most of the glass roof is covered in century old dust.

Gorgeous building, shopping isn't the greatest since it's mainly for tourists but a wonder walk through a 1800's version of a mall. The last picture is from one store that sells only eclairs. Some had gold leaf for decorations.

feels like the first ever indoor mall with that beautiful glass enclosure! nice selection of chocolate and a bit touristy...but that is to be expected in this area. even if you're not shopping for anything it is enjoyable to stroll the galleries for the architecture.

A must see for visitors to Brussels and chocolate lovers. The best chocolatiers have their shops here.
