Jeanneke Pis, Brussels
(2.1/5 based on 800+ reviews on the web)
A tougue-in-cheek counterpoint to the city's symbolic Manneken Pis statue, Jeanneke Pis depicts a young girl squatting and urinating. Erected in 1987 on a cul-de-sac down a narrow, less-travelled street, the statue is growing in popularity. If you've already snapped a few photos of the Manneken Pis (a centuries-old, centrally-located statue of a young boy urinating into a pool), consider snapping a photo, or two, of its female version to balance things out. You'll find the statue behind a cage near Rue des Bouchers in an alley. Use our Brussels family vacation planner to arrange your visit to Jeanneke Pis and other attractions in Brussels.

  • The truth is that this small statue is not more than a Graciet. It does not have much artistic value, apart from the fact that nor is it located in a highly visible location, but in a narrow alley and a small URN. It almost worth more worth the brewery which on the side.

  • This small status which is either the sister or girlfriend of the bad manneken was created from scratch by 1 Restorer to attract tourists and it works. She has nothing special and she is behind 1 Red Gate padlocked.

  • It is places such as this is almost no crowd for the Manneken Pis, and can see the fence. Is made a pun, the statue itself is real. Many people do not know because it is tucked away from the street back into place in may? Good as conversation fodder?

  • A bit of a strange statue but a must see when visiting Brussels. And if it isn't you thing there a great place next to it
  • This is a nice statue in a very touristy part of the city. Less known than the Manneken Pis, she deserves more visitors. Very good nightlife nearby, with restaurants and nightclubs.
  • I did't expect that statue will be behind bars. It's hard to see statue during night.
  • Usually lots of tourist here. Hard to get a good photo as seen online. Recommend bringing a ladder to get a good angle of the statue as it's closed of by a gate and it's a bit high up on a wall.
  • This is the female version of the Mannekin Pis. Why is it behind bars though??? It's cool to check out if you're in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to look for it.
