Where to stay in Brussels

It's easy to find accommodations in Brussels for nearly any budget. Tourists generally gravitate to the area surrounding Grand-Place, the city's main square. Also consider staying near Stephanie Square Centre and Boulevard de Waterloo, which are both centrally located. As Europe's unofficial capital, the city boasts a wealth of high-end hotels for visiting diplomats, concentrated along glitzy Avenue Louise. Those looking for a low-budget option will find a host of hostels scattered around the Grand-Place and within walking distance to the city's main attractions.

  • Everything you need you can at Hem, it's a practical and ecomonical shop. They always have great sweets and this Hema have a lovely big resturant on the second floor.  more »
  • Large store with a wide range of products of all kinds. Toys, clothing, stationery, food and more. You can find good quality products, at relatively affordable prices  more »
  • We visited this place as we had read about the cheap breakfasts and our hotel was just around the corner. The store itself is like a $1 store but a little more expensive. Nothing uniquely Belgian here...  more »

  • It's HEMA, so if you've ever been in one, you more or less know what to expect. Fairly inexpensive and wide product range, going from clothing, over household goods to decoration. This one is clean and organised well. Products are spread out over 2 stories and on the upper floor there's a restaurant as well, which is good for a quick bite to eat, just don't expect haute cuisine.
  • Good shop you can find so many products papeterie home foods makeup cosmetic textiles déco. .
  • If you need something like IKEA but in the city center, HEMA is ready to offer it. They have their own bedclothes, kitchenware, consumer electronics etc. No furniture here!Prices are just a few € higher than in IKEA while the quality is ok. You can also find their brand clothes basic range of snacks and drinks. On the 2nd floor there's an eatery, not bad and cheap.
  • I needed to buy a few travel-sized things and I managed to find everything for a euro each. They have everything and it's now one of my favourite stores!
  • I love HEMA, you can find everything and the price are convinient!
