Categories: Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.7/5 based on 20,000+ reviews on the web
The center of Brussels, Grand Place forms an imposing square of opulent buildings, including the city hall. Dating back to 1523, the city's main square was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1998. Take in the grand architecture of the guild halls, and take a tour of city hall. The square houses the Museum of the City of Brussels and the Brewers Museum, both of which give a good impression of the essence of Brussels. Despite its relatively small size, the square attracts more visitors than any other attraction in the European capital. • One of the best Square in Europe with very nice Restaurants and all of them want to take you even not interested in eating. Some nice Chocolate and Wafels in Neighborhood. Beautiful place for Photographers but mostly its crowded with many peoples
  • I have been here many time with many people... Each time is just as lovely as the other. Plenty going on.. Very touristic area, lots of lovely people around. Awesome architecture and the best thing is that you can go whenever or whatever the weather... You always have a good time. The food place in the area are tasty. Also to note, one of the main roads is now closed I assume as they might just be opening that road for something interesting... There huge trees, and ping pong tables along it... All in all your going to have an ace time... A weekend here will suffice 👌🏽
  • Easily one of the most beautiful squares in the world. The city hall, even though not symmetrical, is still majestic. The surrounding buildings have such amazingly decorated gold facades. This square was once the market area, now it is a perfect picture opportunity.
  • A great way to spend the afternoon chilling out with a beer and some good food. Lots of touristy shops around the place so it's good to venture down some of the smaller routes to find interesting and quirky shops!
  • If you come to Brussels you can't miss the Grand Place, the only european main square without a Cathedral. Beside the town hall there are lots of wonderful buildings where you can lose your sight. Before going there, check if there are free light and sound shows scheduled for that day, as it is often the case during Christmas season.
