European Parliament (Hemicycle visits), Brussels

3.5
See the seat of European Union decision-making at European Parliament (Hemicycle visits), where you can view the parliament in session. Reserve an audio tour that leads you through the chamber and public rooms as you gather information about the day-to-day activities of the parliament. Along the way you'll see European delegates, lawyers, and government officials shuffling between offices and chambers. You are allowed to take a picture in front of the flags, but nowhere else in the building, so save your camera battery for the end of the tour. Admission is free and the tour is short, so consider including a visit to the nearby planetarium while you are in the area. • Pretty organized and free. To anyone who wants to learn about the modern history of Europe and not only but also how the European institutions work well worth the visit. You need enough time to browse in the Museum (about 3 hours), and at the entrance you can get audio guide in your language. Don't forget at the end to tell your opinion on the future of Europe. Highly recommend!

  • Saw the truth only on the outside but inside to get in this time we have not planned, there was very little free time, and the show should have been many more. Passed around to the Park, looked at pofotografirovali. View the Parliament rather pleases the eye and the inner world of man, how would you say to yourself, "well, here I am and near the European Parliament ...!" so to speak in "the heart of the EU." Be in Brussels and not see the Parliament, is the same as not to see the Eiffel Tower in Paris. but I think ... Next time try to get inside.

  • The European Parliament is an extremely important place for Europe, after watching it so many times on TV, it is great to see it in person.  more »

  • The free audio tour is great. It takes about 20 minutes so you can have a quick understanding about how European parliament works.
  • Nice buildings around there, but the guided tour is very dry and not the best way to make your own picture of the EU.
  • Very nice insight in the European Union! We went here on a school trip to Brussels. The meeting room is very impressive, although they told us when we were there that the MEPs are only here once or twice in the year. There main meeting point is in Strasbourg. The meeting room is mainly used for conferences. We also talked to personal assistants of MEPs in the building, that was very impressive. The metal detectors at the entrance are great for security, but putting all your stuff in trays is very irritating. I hope that I can go back there one time!
  • Quite busy place, great diversity of nationalities and languages.
  • Overall great experience, smaller then expected but amazing nonetheless!
