  • If you look at the interesting business expenses to the Grand place with a commercial look, it may happen that's not striking a, it precedes a God's House. The exceptional architecture, which I so have never seen at a church, allows direct Church wall - facade, House imitations. in which are located in the lower part of business. When one is in this area of the Church, you don't notice it as such at all. The entrance, which looks exactly from what one is used to from a church here... With some distance, you can see very well that here is a church a church, so central it may also be important, is almost always a self placement is building, you can see also always the same that it is a church, no matter where that may be in the world. But here in Brussels, everything is different. The Saint Nicolas Church, is surrounded by houses and streets. It is a right city church, whose side Fassade adapt the townscape. To this church, Life pulsates, the Grand'Place infiltrates the public directly past the Church on a side street. Who is interested in the Church, and visited it realizes that inside this God's House already after a few metres, a most pleasant silence. Jesus said, where are two or three in my name are gathered together, there I am among you. This is probably for the Saint Nicolai Church. While outside the crowds move here only a few interested parties are together. It is here as much to marvel at. The three large altars, are worth a visit. A pleasant, light in the Interior of the Church spread the plain like the colorful stained-glass Windows, if also Dim. A beautiful carved altar, striking one when entering the Church. A probably gilded shrine, located next to the pulpit. The vaulted ceiling, the baptismal font, is also very nicely the many statues and holy images offer always another view over beautiful sights. I was unfortunately timed limited, and could me not long here to stop, but when I'm back here in Brussels, then look I me them and surely a few other churches more closely at. Saint Nicolas, an oasis is the silence in a Brussels City Center flooded by crowds. Here, you can find peace and relaxation you need to open the doors only, and to enter.

  • St. Nicolas is a nice, quite small church, not far away from the Grand Place, about 5 minutes to walk. It is a Catholic church in late Gothic style.
  • Building is not big, not so much exterior wall decoration, be smart by design. Termini was quiet, but there were quite a tourist inside the stained-glass Windows is beautiful.

  • Look modern and old at the same. Interesting architecture
  • Another beautiful church that we were able to visit while in Brussels, beautiful alter side alters and detailed wooden pulpit.
  • Nice little church right next to the Grand Place.
  • Nice and quite place in the middle of the city!
  • Nice small church just behind the stock exchange.
