  • Is located in the outskirts of Brussels. It should be noted the sculptures at the base of the column. At the foot of the column are two lions and a ballot box projecting a flame symbolizing the unknown soldier of the war of 1939-1945.

  • Good Architecture
  • Great historical landmark with flame for the unknown soldier.
  • Very nice column of the architect Joseph Poelaert, who is also at the origin of the Palace of Justice in Brussels. Built in commemoration of the national Congress of 1830-1831, his walk of the tomb of the unknown soldier to the memory of the Belgian soldiers who died during the 1914-1918 war.
