Brussels Park, Brussels

3.8
#4 of 29 in Parks in Brussels
Wander among trees, fountains, and statuary, and admire the buildings bordering Brussels Park, the largest urban park in Brussels. The neoclassical park touts manicured lawns and flowerbeds dotted with sculpted bushes and elegant fountains. It was once part of the gardens for the original Coudenberg palace in the 18th century. Nowadays the Royal Palace of Brussels, the parliament, and the United States Embassy mark the boundaries of the park, along with a large fence and fragrant rows of lime trees. Statues throughout the park pay tribute to international figures, such as Peter the Great and a slew of Roman emperors and mythical characters. You'll find the park's main entrance on the northern side across from the parliament building. With our international travel planner, Brussels attractions like Brussels Park can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Very nice and well maintained park. It conveys tranquility and is a good place for a more intimate ride "away" from the city

  • This park is excellent for a walk or a jogging. In front of it is the Royal Castel and the Belle Vue Museum. On the other sides are picturesque and government buildings. It's a park worth walking thro...  more »
  • For those who are staying around the Park is worth it, but it's not worth coming from afar to meet, large green area where people walk and meet, but was dirty and unkempt appearance. Must be an area well used by residents to exercise.

  • It’s a nice sized park in the middle of the city. It reminded me of Central Park but at a much smaller scale. There were lots of trees and they had lots of colors flowing. We saw a lot of runners and joggers making their way around the park as well as walkers and people sitting on benches. It didn’t feel like we were in the middle of Brussels inside of this park. We would go back again next time we are there.
  • When the weather is fine, and you have some time to spare, take a walk here. Brussels is indeed a green capital.
  • In the middle of the city, good for a late run or just for a walk in good weather. Also nice in summer for going out to read on the grass. There are a lot of events going on there, especially from early spring to autumn, mostly in summer. Good to go with children. Enjoy! 😉
  • Lovely walk on a sunny morning. There is an outdoor gym and a great playground for kids
  • Nice place and views. There is a little cafe in the park staff are lovely and friendly.
