  • Like many of Brussels, I had visited the House of the King as a child to see the costumes of Manneken-Pis. This time, I went back to see the table of Lancelot Volders, "Portrait of a family with a royal prince in the courtyard of a Palace", this table could be acquired in October in Vienna thanks to the King Baudouin Foundation and several private sponsors. I wanted to also see the carton of tapestry that experts are restoring on the 2nd floor. It was Sunday and so, no one working on this table. But a video interactive point allowed us to follow the (impressive) steps of this restoration. There is a way to pass the hours in this Museum and all the (interactive) video points are very well made. The models of the city are also very interesting. Note that the wardrobe of Manneken-Pis moved (not far from the famous statuette!) Oak Street A museum where we will definitely return.

  • The history of the development of Bruxelles.Au left a small village developed around a small harbour, with sailing boats that transported goods and merchants, residents were going to fetch water from the fountain. This museum presents sculptures, tapestries, paintings, altarpieces, models that allow us to understand the history of the city and its evolution. Icing on the cake, to the 2nd floor l ' original of Manneken-Pis, which is not a portrait of a little boy, but of Cupid. He has been away following a theft in 1965.
