  • one of the 4 windmills , 15 mins stroll from the centre of the old town on the main canal . Good location for a picnic on the grassy hill and watch the boats go past.  more »
  • Mills are quite unusual in nowadays Europe, that's why they're so interesting. They both have a nice lawn around to sit and relax (great spot for a picnic).  more »

  • Bruges Art Route Spectacular view!!! It’s like a dessert course after the platter full of Bruges city tour. Before leaving Bruges do come to this place, chit-chat with friends or just simply lie down and see the view. If you are luck you can see colourful hot air balloon and paragliders also. Time Required to visit: No restrictions For Photography: Plenty of options
  • Nice place to chill. When there at sunset and sat at the bottom of the mill. Worth it.
  • Interesting little exhibit which shows the internal organization of the windmill. Though I won't advise to go there if you're afraid of heights - the mill itself stands on a hill, and the stairs are almost vertical with just one railing for support.
  • Worth the relaxing stroll to see the beautiful windmills! Attraction: 30-40 minute walk from the Burg Square. Throughout the relaxing walk, you will be strolling thru old streets of what is recognized as a World Heritage Site of UNESCO! Your destination is four beautifully maintained windmills by the canal with large patches of grass for picnics or for you to roll on! Key Takeaway: If you don't mind the walk, this is truly worth seeing! You could even do a segway tour and request to visit this destination! Visited September 2016.
  • An interesting relic of past industry- still working! Climb the steep stairs outside and inside for good views and a fascinating insight into milling. Catch the number 6 or 16 bus from the centre of town and then walk back via the other historic sites en route.
