  • The way this museum guides the guest with audio through the rooms is very nice. We thought it was unique, and less boring than just reading signs. My daughter (10y) enjoyed it a lot. Would defenitely....  more »

  • Fantastic place that was informative and very enjoyable. A truly sensory experience as you listen, see, touch and smell your way through different rooms in the museum. My boys are 9 and 12 and loved it. So did I!! Very worthwhile
  • This fantastic attraction tells the story of this 'New York' of northwestern Europe in the 15th century. In a beautiful video story telling setting you learn a lot about the trade and culture of that time. And you enjoy a great view from the balcony. There is a special wheelchair route via elevators, to discover this historic building with quite a few stairs. Recommend this route for all with limited mobility.
  • The most exciting museum(?) I have ever been to. I wasn't bored for a second. It took me back in time. If you are in Brugge it's a must see.
  • Was expecting a traditional museum visit but was pleasantly surprised by my visit. The tour through the museum uses a headset and recreated scenes to tell the story of the creation of one of the most famous paintings of Brugge's Primitive paintings. The story is informing and entertaining and is followed by the more traditional self guided tour. The opportunity to stand on a balcony gives commanding views over the square in front of the museum.
  • Misleading. I did enjoy the visit and the story to some degree but it was sold to me as a walk through the medieval story of Bruges. This wasn't the case. It was simply a fictional love story set in medieval Bruges. It was well done but as I was looking for real history I was left disappointed. I think it needs to be advertised that this is a story about love and not about history. At €14 it's a lot of money to only get a fictional love story. If you give this a miss you won't miss out on much but if you want to add something a bit different to your tour and happy to part with €14, then why not. I didn't try the VR. Having already spent €14 I thought another €18 was far too much. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
