Historic Centre of Brugge, Bruges
(4.9/5 based on 11,000+ reviews on the web)
Step into Old World charm in Historic Centre of Brugge. Once a medieval settlement, this quiet city center still features preserved Gothic buildings and was at one time considered to be a major commercial city, due mainly to its port. Walk the cobbled streets to find endless chocolate shops, pubs featuring doubles and triples, and a mix of architectural styles. View the historic city on a boat tour through the canals, or sit back during a carriage ride through the canal-lined streets. If you've seen the film "In Bruges," you may want to take a guided tour, which can pinpoint major locations from the film. Historic Centre of Brugge is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Bruges Edition.

  • As in a fairy tale! It was the first impression I had when visiting Bruges, all is beautiful, a very quiet town, of very cold weather and where it is usually raining much in the month of October, from Brussels by train to Bruges is one hour, the passage cost us in total 14 euros round-trip, hourly output is. Shops close early, but I could appreciate that the cost is not as high, memories of beautiful, unique, and you can stroll in boat, something romantic if you're very quiet, with partner churches are spectacular, the night view is magical, you have to take a very good camera will be extraordinary photos. DO NOT LET OF VISIT BRUGES YOUR THESE IN BRUSSELS. NOT YOU ARE GOING TO REGRET, IS WORTH THE PENALTY.
