  • Frank Brangwyn (1867-1956 Dutchling Bruges). A in Belgium-born artist where I've never heard of before. Beautiful woodcuts, etchings and lithographs. When you visit the Groeninge museum certainly just to go.

  • Unexpectedly. ... a combination ticket with the Groeninge museum that we wanted to visit anyway. The Abbott House is right next to ... Let us also but equally on the way! Smile...de surprise struck when we were inside and close with the last judgement by Hieronymus Bosch. Don't ask me how it ended up here and if it remains ... that know the guard either ... but after the impossibility to see this painting in Den Bosch, this was the surprise of Bruges for me. Another special feature is that many details of his paintings retrieved by contemporaries in this region. That we saw in the Groeninge museum. Better be good then tucked the poorly conceived, but the last judgment is so complete, overwhelming and masterfully and timeless ..... At the top of this Abbott House depends on the permanent collection of a Brit born here. He has a portrait left in carpets, lithographs and drawings of everyday life, lost jobs and hard work in the port. Very worth it, and a very good portrait.

  • Temporary exhibition with the restored work of Jeroen Bosch and an explanation about the restoration ... definitely worth it! Free in combination with the Groeninge museum.
