  • We were here on a Sunday and it was very busy but not too crowded inside. It’s stone, dark and had tunnels that weren’t too tall so it makes us glad that we don’t live in that period. There were nice....  more »
  • Visited the château for a third time over about 10 years. Prices have risen though visitors' experience largely remained the same. The Castle has been altered dramatically by Vauban. A lot of the...  more »
  • The view from the top of the castle is amazing! The historical path through the castle was fun, but it was well worth it to get to the top and learn the history. Don't miss the falconry show.  more »

  • Not visited but seen it how glorious and huge, a historical preserved monument. Instead, we enjoyed the pedalos, much fun but you need strong knees to maintain your peddling! A lot of choices of restaurants along the river with high end cars and motorbikes.
  • We did the night visit. That was my best visit ever. It was raining, dark (after 2200), cloudy... And the kids and us were delighted by the quality of the visit, the humour, the knowledge, the love of sharing, enthusiastically all the small details that make the history of the History. Thanks for the journey through time, and don't forget the etiquette, tour guide deserve a descent tip.
  • We couldn't actually enter the castle when we were there, but the town is absolute beautiful. Very touristic, but not in a bad way. Lovely surrounding countryside for driving small windy roads.
  • Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area. The village and the surroundings of the castle are also nice for a little stroll and/or picnic. The castle is open during Corona and all necessary measures have been taken. There is also a room with a temporary exposition.
  • Nice and big setting. The castle looks well maintained. The bird show is fun too watch. But the lack of information made the visit not more than staring at an ancient building not knowing anything. At the register the guy didn't offer a guide so we expected informative panels or posters with some history but there was none in the castle. Only a lot of those in a small part of the castle that acted as a school? Only French speaking people will know..
