Trip Planner: Europe / Belgium / Flanders / West Flanders Province / Blankenberge / SEA LIFE Blankenberge
With feeding times every hour, there are plenty of opportunities at SEA LIFE Blankenberge to see the animals in action. The shark tunnel puts you in the center of the predator's world. While the sharks get your adrenaline pumping, 49 other aquariums house more docile creatures of the sea. A seahorse breeding program has helped fill a tank with the delicate creatures, and playful seals make faces at you from their tank. For an extra fee you can take a photo with the seals in their home under the supervision of a staff member, but you must bring your own camera. Purchase tickets online for a discount on admission. In full explanation turns gasping openly because my 1 year old baby was crying! You're sweet innocent, but if you can't stand kids, go home! -No turtles and otters... Mystery this flat... because at the entrance we warmly gives you the feeding hours. An explanation at the entrance or a sign in front of the empty attractions is it possible? -Super short... not worth the price at all! -not enough explanatory signs. Only positive: their rescues of seals Belgian, beautiful human initiative, but for the rest... run away! Take your car and drive 1 hour run into Pairi Daiza! As they say for women: you're not pretty, task at least to be nice!
Il n'y avait pas grand monde, alors nous avons pu profiter de tout. L'endroit est captivant, les animaux sont bien soignés, le parc est super et les animateurs connaissent vraiment leur boulot. The seals show is top. It was a great time spent with family!
Небольшой океанариум, чего нельзя сказать про цену. Если брать семейный тариф (на 3-х человек), то будет чуть дешевле. Пройти его можно очень быстро. You can go through it very quickly. For the time they spend multiple views, talk (in French) about the peculiarities of the marine world. It will be interesting to the child, a small quest to find stamps, which notes the book * issue). Also for children (and adults as well) there is an obstacle course where you can happily clamber.
Small, but good. Do not expect hours long activity, but worth the money. The rescued seal puppies are really adorable!
(Always nice to come here with young kids) UPDATE on removal of stars: It's now the third time that we could not enter anymore because they close very early, because they probably want to go home early. We have subscriptions, so you should not need a cash register. Eg last time : We tried calling if it was open on last day of the year, but nobody picked up. We looked at the site, everything seemed regular for the opening hours. But NO they wanted to stop one hour earlier that day. It's ok, we get it, it's totally fine it's a special day after all BUT at least pick up the phone, or advertise on the site that you close early or even on the window when one arrives or at least something!!! No you let us drive for half an hour, pay for the car park, just to be refused at the desk because you just closed for not even 10 min (15:09) !!! common ... we will not prolong our 6 subscriptions anymore ! Another time you could not even find one of the subscriptions in the computer....
It was a really enjoyable experience. I don't know why it was so poorly rated; friendly staff, interesting exhibits, and they make an effort to get children to participate. The penguins did indeed look very poor, very sad to see, but overall I would go again. We spent about 2 hours but if you rush through it would take less time. The only problem I can point out is that the facility is too small for the amount of visitors.
A bit small(ish), but the inside aquariums are beautifully made. Paid almost 60 EUR for 3 persons, which is IMHO too much, when compared e.g. to Paira Daisa. The cafeteria is really low quality, don't look forward to drinking a good coffee before driving home. On the bright side, the kids (4 and 1) loved it.
Nice... but compared to other aquariums I could see, this looks like a "cheap" place. Good to occupy children when bad weather.
