  • As a WW@ fanatic, I found it a must do!. Especially the McAuliffe part of history. The old barracks is a must see and the Artillery/Tank museum was well worth it. Entrance is free and a guided tour al...  read more »
  • Big old army place that well serves to give an impression of the war time. You are required to join one of the free tours, in which they extended tell what all took place on the barracks. Many materials and stories are here to admire. Definitely recommended.

  • The site where Mac • said nuts to the Germans. Welcome by a great connoisseur, military of addition. A counselor at all and all.

  • Very nice museum. Good displays of veterans of the time. Vehicle bays have many unique examples. My favorites were the Sherman Firefly and the T-34
  • Museum supervised by Belgian army, all of the soldiers on site were really nice but most of all - our guide (his uniform says "Denis"). He really gave us a great background on what was happening in Bastogne during wwII, , was answering all the questions and on the same time managed to be funny as he was joking quite a bit :) also the museum and stuff in it is great, including vehicle restoration centre and vehicles themselves. As entry is for free I almost felt like stealing from poor guys. Denis was talking about the efforts to shut down the barracks completely, so perhaps they should consider collecting some entry fee. Also, when entering the city of Bastogne, dont get mistaken by " Bastogne war museum" signs, thats the one next to memorial du mardasson (or what is the proper spelling), Bastogne barracks is the one you want to go to! Perhaps yet another tiny suggestion - there is an stg44 being shown but no special attention was given to it. I know most of the people dont care but maybe a word or two about it being the first assault rifle ever would be nice :)
  • Huge WWII heritage. Really liked the museum.
  • Passionate guide, you can feel and even smell the history!
  • The best place for tour Battle of the Bulge or Ardennes Offensive or Von Rundstedt Offensive ever! Tons of weapon and situation models ,it's a must see in Bastogne.
