  • The Virgin home/Virgin house museum is diagonally across from the Mechelen square (that each Inhabitant is kent). The Virgin house museum is actually the museum of the Antwerp CPAS collection. That heir is of the poor care since the fifteenth century. And that way also a lot of works of art (also Jordaens, Rubens, Coxcie, Otto Venius ...) collected. An extremely varied collection, even by specialists for its world famous collection papkommen! It is also the only Antwerp museum that is open on Monday. If you are totally uninformed, you stand back out after half an hour. Because you the stories behind the collection pieces are not. And those are sometimes unusually interesting. Every time I there a group Guide (it was last year my exam museum for the diploma museum guide) I get comments along the lines of ' that we had never expected, such interesting variety! ' When you are not with a group, then the heritage day is a must. There are free dedicated guides ready. And venture than but an hour and a half!
