Antwerp's Port, Antwerp

3.4
#8 of 13 in Historic Sites in Antwerp
Visit Antwerp's Port to see one of Europe's busiest ports. Second only to Rotterdam's port in the total freight shipped per year, this hub bustles year-round. Tour the area by walking along the promenade near the docking stations. The port is just a hop, skip, and a jump from the city's main shopping district. If you're stopping here on a cruise, you'll be able to tour this district and maybe even grab some fresh seafood near the water. Consider a visit to the engineering museum located on the port, where you'll learn about the important economic role the attraction has played in the city's history. A visit to Antwerp's Port represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Antwerp trip itinerary maker to plot your vacation.

  • Quite interesting on the river Scheldt. You get a very good idea what all handles in the port of Antwerp. You can nowadays with a ounce of left bank to the other side of town. From there you can also with the water tube over the schelde to Helixem, from there you can enjoy cycling.
